Shapour Daneshmand is an accomplished writer, director and international filmmaker with more than 25 years’ experience

At 20, Shapour studied film at the prestigious London International Film School in England. He returned to Iran shortly after the 1979 revolution where he joined a crew as assistant cameraman on a feature political thriller.  Sadly, the repressive climate of censorship in Iran squashed the film’s release.  

In the early 80’s he moved to Thailand where he worked as an editor, cameraman and producer on a number of documentaries and feature films.  In 1987, Shapour wrote and directed his first major feature film there, Awaiting the Dawn.

In the 90’s Shapour finally realized a childhood dream by immigrating to America.  Shapour created documentaries, commercials and music videos, as well as produced and hosted two very successful satellite television talk shows focusing on the arts, humanities and politics.  More recently, Shapour has written, produced, directed and edited numerous and diverse documentary, television and corporate films and video.
