Jose Sarmiento is a second-year medical student pursuing an MD/MPH dual degree. Jose graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.A. in Neuroscience with highest honors. He also serves his community as Vice-President of the American Diabetes Student Association at UC Riverside and engages in surgical research to complement his medical studies.

 

Jose enjoys playing tennis, frequenting the gym, watching movies and spending time with his family.
