In order to achieve our overall goal of bringing free medical treatment to American children in need, The House Call will document the doctors’ care these children receive, for broadcast as a weekly series.
Adelanto, CA, a town harder-hit than most by the recession, was chosen as the location for the film. The House Call hosted a highly-successful one-day Health Fair event on December 19th, where our team of all-volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, nutritionists and advisors examined over 500 children! The more complicated cases were referred to specialists for follow-up care through the generous donation of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. The Loma Linda University School of Dentistry also donated a fully-equipped and fully-staffed Mobile Dental Lab for the event, then took care of the children needing follow-up dental care, through the pro bono auspices of their alumni dentists.
