Alicia Gonzalez began her career as a teacher while still at Loyola Marymount earning her B.S. in Natural Science with an emphasis in Secondary Education, a Masters of Education, and a California Science teaching credential. Her love for science, creativity, and education guided her on her journey to become a teacher.
This summer she is off to Zambia where she will work in a hospital and volunteer at a local school. Back here in home, where she is a tenth generation Californian, Alicia volunteers at shelters, organizes beach cleanups, ships school supplies to Nigeria, and serves with the Children’s Hunger Fund.
Her family belongs to the Los Pobladores, an ancestral heritage association that are decedents of the founders of El Pueblo de Los Angeles, 1781.
